Hi Guys, Here is a "quick fix" for the sounds for the Adam. I have used the E30 sounds and only by changing the GUID's file and making a copy of the E30 sound bank, this has worked. You need to make sure your SFX folder is clear of any files, and unzip. This has been tested. I didn't create this sound bank, Kudos did, I only used the instructions on the AC forum to make the Adam sound work. http://1drv.ms/1u7qtMh Also if you are finding that a modded car feels different you might need to change your gain. Try running this tool ( you only need to run it once to test and get your figure) and then you can turn it off. http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/i...ack-anti-clipping-tool-new-version-2-1.14165/ It's help me Fordie
The only problem with AC cars, is they are all high powered RWD cars, and only the Alfa or Fiat are the FWD options (but not racing options), and sometimes this deters people, ie me as I just generally don't like RWD's, never have done since the beginning of LFS days (when I really start online racing) and never will do, but I suspect that is due to my up bringing and family connections. Offering a great alternative like the Adam, or the Nissan, you will generate more interest, as it is a brake from the norm, so to speak, but its your races and server gents, that is just my 2 pence worth Fordie
Could you explain why are the fiat and Alfa not racing options, but the Adam and nissan are? Also, I know far more people who are more interested in the official content than modded, than the other way around. And which "norm" are you talking about? From my experience, unless your idea is very unique, when you move away from any norm, it causes less interest.
Hi TCLF, Sorry what I meant by "racing" was that these has sports suspensions / physics and slick tyres, Fordie
I do understand now what you mean with sports susp and tires, but still don't understand what you mean with sports physics. AFAIK the game has 1 single physics engine which simulates the car in all forms of moving (racing, driving, drifting etc)
physics as in the file that is written for those cars, not the actual physics engine of the game. Fordie
I'd vote for official content. The difference in quality is noticeable, plus official content covers almost all types of cars. The Alfa would be the next slowest official car.
All right guys, thanks for the replies. It's already Wednesday, we need time to practice (and for skinning ), the Adam is not so clear (and not unanimous) so the Alfa seems the better choice for the last 6 rounds of this experimental first season (sorry @fordman hope you'll still run - it's still a FWD ). We'll know better when planning for Season II . Quadrifoglio FTW !
No seriously, I am happy with that choice....just need to find somebody to skin it for me, as I have really simple easy team skins, nothing complexed....any takers Fordie
Tonight no 3d modelling, because racing ! Awesome choice lads ! It feels absolutely great on track. TC ON: TC OFF: ..burning 50L of fuel
That's why you was a second faster than me, I forgot to turn TC off I had also been playing with my GFX settings before we joined on-line, and it was just aweful to race, so will reset them tonight, and get online again, now I know i have a time to beat Fordie
I think I beat it, but don't know by how much, because "AC stopped working".. I guess I'll save it for Sunday then
