Modding for LFS
It's a subject that has been discussed many times on LFS forums, with developers hesitating from yes to no to maybe. Finally, seems they have decided to allow modding. It is big news, so to celebrate that, we open a dedicated space here as well. Curious to see where this will go.

The 5 point tyre model for ACC
This is too big not to write a few words about. Or better said, I _hope_ it is as big as it sounds . From the get go, I should say that I'm surprised to find out that AC/ACC are actually using a single point contact for physics calculations. True, I did not look a long time at this, but I think Scawen was talking about it from 2010. So in my little mind, all the sims that came after that, definitely had to be using more than one contact point, right ? Wrong.

Modding for ACC - Is it possible ?
[NOT click-bait! It's an open question, not an answer]
Assetto Corsa Competizione uses the Unreal Engine 4 ..engine. So modding (generally speaking) is definitely possible. I can only imagine the possibilities and the tools available (e.g. here). However, at this point not much public information is available on the how-to side. What we do know, it Kunos's official position :
