Hi, "passing effect" mean, when you are on F3 view(engine.ext sound), the car comes (front look) so the sound is more on high frequency, then the car "PASS"(the "passing effect" :lol:front of the camera->the sound should be on maximun values and in neutral frequencies, then the car go away then the sound should be on low frequencies (due to the exaust) and the sound decrease as far as it goes...
in my case, this "passing effect" is none or just a little bit...i tested many things with no result for the moment.....:banghead:
    Hope you will understand....
    Thank you all!

I really do not know what they're talking about, I'm still lost in the internal engine part. For example, I do not know why there are different sounds, like the case of "500ss load" since it has 6 sounds, I understand that the first refers when it is in neutral, the limiter already know haha. But then with respect to revolutions, because they are like 4?

Hi GCTeam, there are 6 sound(sample loops) in load cause these samples is for the evolution of the acceleration. if you look at the bar on top of the samples, you can see the engine RPM marks(0/1000/2000/3000...) so when you make your own loops in different RPM, you paste your samples with a pitch automation and make a fader in these different samples to have a nice render. take a look at the fonsecker tuto posted by Just kauser on the first message you will clearely understand the good way.
Hope it can light your fire;)

All right, thanks for the help. Perhaps they have information on how to perform the turbo sounds, since there are several parameters within FMOD and I do not know how to edit it to obtain an ideal turbo. regards

I dont have the same software but when i understand his tutorial right, he did search samples in youtube video in high quality, record same and pitch them in a way that he have a constant rpm in one sample. Maybe the record is an acceleration from 3000 rpm to 4000 rpm, then he used a programm that change the speed on the beginning to 33,33333% and at the end to 0%. And he know the rpm because he analyzes the sample at the beginning and the end by frequency analysis. To get the rpm he multiplies the most dominant frequency and multiplied it with 60 and 2^k, he changes k between -10 and 10 i think normally its 2 or 4 untill he get a believable rpm value.

    Hi,
you can simply use audacity to record the sound from a youtube video.
the best way, like in the fonseker vid, is to record all the video sound, and after that you can look at the video to find the best moment you want to use as sample.
You copy the part you want in audacity then open it in a new audacity project, past it in, and here come the most difficult part -> Make a nice loop that can be use in Fmod.
import it in Fmod and simply follow the steps show in the fonseker tuto.
    Hope it can help

    Hi Just Kauser,
Do you have any tips to have linear loops with auda, cause manytimes i have some sort of artifacts "at the begining or the end" of the loop, and i ive never find a way to erease it.....
    Thanks!

Yep, when it is long enough, make a new stereo track, cut out the first half of your loop, past it in the new track but with a free space in front of it and fade in and out both halfs so that you have a smooth loop:

Thanks for your help. Does it matters if I don't record a hight RPM sound ?

    Hi erba72,
I don t think it s a problem but i think it will sound better with.... try it like that and after you can always modify it.
IMPORTANT : always save your Fmod project with an another name cause if you destroy something good you can step back easealy!!!

Normaly it s for the stereo, top->left voice et bottom->right voice. You can make a fusion with both to have it in only one sequence.( i dont really know how to use auda...) we are waiting Just Kauser to help us...the answer will be more accurate...;-)
after the fusion, like i told you before, you have to select the portion you want to use as sample(hold click and select the part then release the click) ->CTRL C -> CTRL N ->CTRL V , the make the loop as Just Kauser show us and save as
    Hope it can help!
