Damm it... too good to be true... :(

hope someone tries to develop a proper air bag sytstem wihtout lag... but the most I think about it... more dificult to achieve something without lag and friendly with your body parts.

I'm with you about buttkickers, best solution to have more inmersive experience without spend a lot of money.

We need a 100x Like button.
That rig is starting to look like a very complex piece of engineering :). The shifter arm - beauty ! I hope you are planning to spend a lot of hours racing this, because it's so cool !

Oh and the wheels !!!. Damn, I think ppl racing IRL don't have as many and complete wheels :D. Very nice work, very nice progress - always happy to read about it. Keep it up - and looking forward to the day you'll post a video racing the damn thing !

I think I maybe will be ready to race by march, I will however probably pick up some new screens (sold the 24") and a tripple screen mount this weekend from my Bodnar friend so I'll have a play with his rig, testing the Rexing then aswell. But all in all, I really have to say I love the wheel, regardless what it costs. Also it's the best shifters I have ever felt. Tried both Simon (Precision sim) and Bodnar Gp2 ones at the show and I have a set of Aschers on my wheel, but next up on the list is a set of Kyles PDX shifters... Oh deer this isn't gonna end well! Wheels are like sex, you can't get enough of it!

Btw Liquido, I know they aren't in the making anymore but they pop up sometimes, it's the GS4 seat I'm talking about, essentially "built in" seat motion into a seat, never tried one, would love to do it however.

    you are bad.... :ROFLMAO:

    EDIT:

So... are you able to feed yours cars with that new potentiometer? looks clean and robust, as it should be. 10/10 ¡¡ Great !!

As you said little things like that potentiometer will take time, but you are so close to the end.

It works like any fly-by wire system on a real car. As I might mentioned before my father uses these when he builds his race engines. Not for fly-by wire but for when doing the mapping.

Disclaimer: I am on mobile net, on a foreign country, so I really am afraid to go into the first post and see the tens of photos. I will remain netless instantly :D.

..eager to have a look - end of next week things should finally get back to normal after a few months already.

yes, if you are looking for quality, all those little conectors, switchs, potentiometers.... they are not cheap, but it worth the money, couse you don't need to care about the electronic intallation for long time, clever move.

Indeed fella. "Spend your money wisely and spend it once" as the saying goes. Unfortuently I forgot 2 connectors so I will have to order those aswell. The connectors themselfs are Binder 711 and Binder 712 series subminature connectors. These are also used on all AIM Sportsline products so they can handle rough enviroments aswell. I used AIM throughout all my karting career and never had a problem so I belive they are well worth the extra few dollars.

Sorry for being quiet atm. Pedals are more or less completed and shifter is on the agenda atm and things are tagging along in a great way, hopefully a little bit bigger update after the coming weekend.

Don't worry Alex, always a pleasure to read updates from you, no matter how they come.
In any case you've been more "vocal" that I could be lately :). I'll be back soon-ish.

    Hey Alex,
Thank you for still keeping up with the updates. I find it inspiring seeing so much work and dedication going into this rig. So much so actually, that now I am looking for the right choices for purchasing/building an OSW myself :). I know the subject was mentioned before, but because life, it got some delay. Delay that might actually prove useful, since I see now so many options around about how to go DD.

So here come some questions :).

The actual OSW, will you build it yourself ? (I mean all the wiring, soldering, etc).
IIRC, you are going with the Ioni solution ? But how do you choose that one ? Because I see there are "more sorts of Ioni" around now ?
Have you seen the IndieCampaign SimuCUBE ? (..that I've just missed by a few days..)
How does that sound to you ?

Sorry to sort-of hijack your thread (we can move the discussions if you wish), but while it initially seemed clear, now it's a bit confusing for me :).
