Hi, i dont know if its the same crash issue. But days ago, when i started a new track, when i opened the kseditor i had critical errors when i touch anything about shaders/materials. I fixed it in a weird way. I just opened an old trento bondone 3dsimed conversion. There, shaders options run ok, without errors. Then, i open "over" it my own track, and i had no issues. After that, when i open the editor with my track all runs ok. so curious... i hope it can help you.
Bruno Mendes manages to open my file on his computer with KSEDITOR, I think I have a problem on my computer but what ...
yes, but what i want to mean is, like in my case, kseditor worked bad ( brand new installation) until i loaded some original content, and then, after that, my content runs ok the rest of the time. No more issues.
Export with blender units for "apply scaling" and apply units checked. Z Forward and I think Y Up. works for me. All defaults otherwise.
Finally getting back into this project. Took a break for a few months. Got the infield modeled with basic materials/UVs for now. Set all the wall breaks, catch fence, rough outside land, and lines around the track. Going to try and make some videos tonight showcasing parts of this progress.
Thanks for doing this! I'm using your videos for my own tracks. I'm having trouble smoothing infields. When I auto fill large spaces, it gets wonky and wavy. Also any blender tips are welcome.
I want to say thanks for this Lilski. Its amazingly helpful to see how you do it. The Glen and others you have done are really amazing tracks. These videos have helped me with a conversion test I wanted to try and Im seeing if I can find permissions to convert a track to AC. If I can I want to see if I can get some LIDAR data to update it. Cheers!
What is a good size for the point cloud export file... mine is 1.05gb and Blender does not like it. Edit - saw the point cloud tutorial below and it shows how I and keep reducing the segments. Will look at that... my two imports had 60 million points total before segmenting.
