    1. FOREWORD

This is the official topic on the rules and regulations that apply to Assetto Corsa Mods Club Races.

Club Racing was adopted by Assetto Corsa Mods in order to provide a fun and safe racing environment for people with different skill levels, without needing to register prior to the race. This type of racing is meant to be casual, fun and innovative.

That's why a few differences appear when compared to the more organized and competitive League Racing. First and foremost, the rules are a bit more relaxed since we aren't racing for points here. Second of all, the car&track combos can differ vastly from race to race. They can be more popular ones or something we and you think it will be fun.

    2. GENERAL REGULATIONS

G.1 - Club Racing is meant to be fun, so these rules should be followed by all drivers on the Assetto Corsa Mods server, so as to not disturb other drivers.

G.2 - Try to be as fair-play as possible; do not crash into other cars or remain stationary in a position which might create problems for other drivers.

G.3 - There is no limit imposed on the setup, type of tyres or amount of fuel used.

    3. PLAYER'S CONDUCT AND RESPONSIBILITY

PCR.1 - We encourage you to have an honest, fair-play conduct, even if this results you in losing one or several places in the race.

PCR.2 - Drive responsibly and try to not disturb other players; let everyone have fun.

PCR.3 - Offensive words, abuse, discrimination or other types of verbal aggresions are not allowed and will be severely punished by administrators of the Assetto Corsa Mods server.

PCR.4 - It is the driver's responsibility to inform and familiarize himself with these rules and regulations. This is required in order to better understand the concept and spirit of Club Racing.

PCR.5 - Avoid making assumptions regarding the rules on the Assetto Corsa Mods (e.g.: "Overtaking on the outside is not allowed."). The basis of the racing that happens on the Assetto Corsa Mods server is the present ruleset.

PCR.6 - Reasons such as "But it's not allowed anywhere else" is generally not an accepted reason to give a penalty to another driver or affect the results. It is however possible that an administrator will agree with the reasoning and make a decision otherwise not covered by this ruleset.

    4. DRIVER'S CONDUCT AND RESPONSIBILITY

    DCR.1 - Respect other drivers.

DCR.2 - Drive responsibly. Even if another driver does a mistake try to avoid contact.

DCR.3 - Fast and experienced drivers should exhibit patience with the slower and less experienced ones. Do not assume that slower drivers have to get out of your way or do not have the right to race on the server.

DCR.4 - Since we're racing in an imperfect online environment, give other driver's the necessary space to avoid problems caused by high ping rates, bad connections or issues in the netcode of Assetto Corsa.

DCR.5 - Assetto Corsa Mods servers are configured to let any car have a maximum of two wheels outside the track. Having three or more wheels outside the track will result in a "slow down" penalty.

DCR.6 - Should you leave the track, always take the penalty, and be careful when rejoining the track.

    5. VOTING ON SKIPPING OR RESTARTING A SESSION

V.1 - Do not initiate vote on skipping or restarting the running session if one or more cars are on the track. It is allowed to initiate a vote on skipping or restarting the running session when all driver's involved in the session agree upon the vote.

V.2 - Cars stationary (without reason) in a position which might create problems for other drivers, those who stay in pits during the race or those who deliberately ruin the race for other drivers are not considered to be involved in the running session.

V.3 - If any car is undoubtedly disturbing other drivers with intention it is advised to vote on kicking them from the server. The aim is to keep the server clean.

    6. OVERTAKING

O.1 - It is the responsability of the overtaking car to perform the pass in a safe manner. Assume the car in front will hold the racing line and aim for the apex.

O.2 - Two cars have significant overlap when at least half of the car's length is side by side with the other car. Having your front wheel next to the rear wheel of the other car does not give you a significant overlap.

    O.3
    - Having the right to hold a racing line against another car is determined by having a significant overlap with that other car before the point of turn in.

O.4 - The car in front has the right to take any racing line during a corner, only if the car behind does not overlap.

O.5 - The car on the outside has the right to hold the outside racing line from for the whole length of the corner. It is not allowed for the inside car to push another car to go off-track.

O.6 - The car on the inside has the right to hold the inside racing line for the whole length of the corner. It is not allowed for the outside car to force another car to go off-track.

O.7 - Intentional divebombing - which means overtaking on the inside without having a significant overlap before the turn in point, which often results in crashing into or forcing another car to brake - is not allowed.

O.8 - An obvious driving mistake - such as braking too late or misjudging a corner - gives the right to overtake to the car behind. The overtaking driver should take precaution to avoid any collision, but blocking the overtaking car is not allowed after making an obvious mistake.

O.9 - Drivers can take any racing line on a straight. If there is no significant overlap, the car in front is allowed to make a single blocking move (change to racing line in front of the overtaking car).

    7. CAR CONTACTS

C.1 - Intentionally hitting other cars is strictly forbidden and is seen by our community as the greatest offense and/or mistake you can make.

C.2 - If one driver's failure to comply with the present ruleset has resulted in a car contact, the respective driver is the sole responsible for the incident.

C.3 - If any advantage is created by not respecting the rules, that advantage must be lost in a safe way - usually by moving off the racing line and slowing down on the straight lines.

C.4 - If a car contact occurs by not respecting the rules, the driver at fault should apologize to the other driver and give the position to him.

C.5 - Driver's following another car should take every precaution to avoid car contacts. Brake sooner before corners, anticipate any errors of the car in front and keep reasonable distance.

C.6 - It is the responsibility of the car behind to avoid any collision with the car in front. It's preferable to leave the track than hit other cars.

C.7 - Braking or slowing down without reason is not allowed. Any contact happening with a car that slowed down without reason makes this car the one at fault. That said, always try to avoid slow or stationary cars, since you have no way to know if they are slow or stationary for a reason or not.

C.8 - Cars off-track lose their priority over cars at racing speed. It's the responsibility of the joining car to avoid any collisions with other cars, even if it's not the driver's fault for going off-track.

C.9 - Cars at racing speed have priority over slow cars such as damaged ones, those rejoining the track or those leaving the pit-lane. The slow cars should move off the racing line. Once off the racing line, you should remain there until the faster cars have overtaken you.

C.10 - Should you have terminal damage or just consider yourself a danger to clean racing, it's best to stop outside the track and just go to the pits. There's always the next race.

    8. PENALTIES

P.1 - While online administrators will hand out warnings and penalties for those offending, giving penalties to players will generally be the last resort. The biggest mistake a player can make on the Assetto Corsa Mods server is to ruin the game for other people, and actions that result in this will have the most severe consequences.

P.2 - Intentionally disturbing other players by means of blocking the track or ramming them off-track is a serious offense and can result in a ban for the offending driver.

P.3 - Verbal aggresions - swearing, discriminating or verbally abusing - will result in a ban for the offending player.

P.4 - In case of a serious problem with another player on the server, if no administrator is online at the time of happening, you can post a report on the Assetto Corsa Mods forum in the Club Racing subsection. The post should containg relevant information (screenshots, logs, replay, or other).

P.5 - There are no penalties for simple racing incidents, except a word from the administrator and the more respected drivers on our servers.

P.6 - In case of recurring incidents from the same driver, he can be kicked from the server.

P.7 - It is encouraged to report players that do not respect the current ruleset in order to let others know about them. Reports will be posted in the Club Racing section on the Assetto Corsa Mods forum. Try to make the difference between less skilled drivers and outright bad-intentioned players altough.
