For Oulton I should have something later today. I'll need to check what state it's in, and then I'll know pretty well how much time I still need to fill in the gaps.

I have the lidar. It's 1m resolution, right? You got it from the same source, right?

Out of interest, have you combined them into a geotiff, or some other format? I'm wondering if there's any possibility of loss of accuracy when merging

I don't think theres any loss. and I believe they are set up at their side to be merged etc. I think any error margin come from their adaptations.

Officially back to work on Oulton Park. You wanted it subdivided to the max, right? Track surface plus border?

ehh yeah, might aswell, will just optimise it later I think. not sure tbh till I work on it, id work on the full lidar first anyway. good thing for this as a test is that having the lidar anyway can fix it if necessary

Okay. It'll take a while, because the track is a lot wider than country roads in the dales

Clearly I've reached the limit of the resolution of the data. Two options: I undo the last few steps and upload it so you can have a look, or I carry on the same way

Okay, the undo hasn't perfectly restored thing to the way they were. Have a look, if it's not useable I can redo it. We're still at the experimental stage. So, 1m resolution - stop subdividing at level 3

How wide is the track? 8-10m I think? If so, level 3 is probably a bit under a metre
