Really really nice work! Really nice attention to detail. Very much looking forward to this when it's finished.
Everything looks indeed quite awesome. So much work & effort into this ! My only (personal) issue is still with the trees. Something is a 'bit off, even if I cannot say exactly what. As if they are "photoshoped" into the rest of the picture (which is so well balanced otherwise..).
Some amazing work going on here, the textures work really consistent, this is giving me inspiration for my own track I can see a lot of people downloading this, me included!
Wow wow wow... This looks absolutely incredible! Did a few laps there a few weeks ago and this looks spot on! Can't wait
What did you go around the track in? ----- We've had a bit of rain in the last few days, so I expect the track will be a little greener come next week at the 9 hour event. Busy going through side by side with pics I took a couple weeks ago ... picking up details that need to be tweaked like tree line silhouettes and other textures ... and some not so detailed issues ... like where Ive put a concrete barrier where an armco is supposed to be :-/
I keep checking this thread every few days to see if this is released yet, but I understand as I have a local track project that needs to be completed for my team to train with, and I know all the work involved, especially when you want to produce a quality virtual track that really captures the feel and look of the real track. For my project, I spent four hours actually walking the whole track (on the track), and I have hundreds of reference photos. For Assetto Corsa, I have one version of Kyalami, and it isn't very good. I think it was converted from an older simulator. Looking at these captures and your attention to detail... I know your version is going to be the best one available in any simulator.
As and when I'm given permission to show images of the various teams that have used the track for preparation of the race, I'll post up cards like these: :-DD Here are the first two.
I almost was gonna ask: “sooo, which ones are the real pictures? I can’t tell the difference” it’s looking so good it’s almost scary
