Hi guys, can someone help me with a paddle shifting animation? I have no problem with creating steer animation, animation of paddle shifters on vehicle and car doors animation but I can't manage to create a proper finger animation. What approach should I take? I am working in 3Dsmax and using animated Driver rig from SDK. What exactly do I need to export? Only finger dummies or the whole hand? Any leads or links to some useful source of information regarding animations?

I made this animation for my car, but I exported it from Blender with Stereos Plugin. I had to select all the Bones of the fingers, no idea how to do that in 3ds. IIRC it should maybe be possible to just export the whole driver like you would for steering, and AC will only pull the finger movement for the paddle animation if you name it correctly.

did you use driver_base.fbx to animate fingers? I am using driver_rig 1.7 for 3dsmax, it is almost the same but with better structure, but there is an animation already and I am not sure how to use it to animate just fingers, whether just delete all animations and create just fingers and export fingers dummies only, or move the timeline behind the steering animation frames and try to do it there...

no, I used Stereos Blender rig, but in a version I "cleaned" which has all the steering animation deleted. Just went over everything and deleted all keyframes

I´ve managed to do it with original driver_base.fbx from Kunos, I had to delete all animations from the file (imported to 3Dsmax without animations), then I've created new finger only animations, exported just finger dummies and it worked. I had to play a little with driver3d.ini to define the behavior of the animation but now it works, thanks for help AccAkut.
