Hello, Im gathering resources in order to create my first track, Im already a professional 3d modeler so all my current doubts are mainly focused on the technical aspect of the workflow

My main concern is that I have no idea how to break texture tiling patterns, Im wondering if this game supports a decal system or a multi layer texturing of tracks

also reading the FAQ I see the max size for the track is 16x16 yet Ive seen projects like Lake Louise that span around 50km, how is it possible to go past the 16x16 limit?

    Thanks

The length of the track isnt as important as its distance from the world origin point of 0,0,0

That's when it shouldnt exceed that distance.

Regarding your texture tiling concerns... Assetto Corsa has a couple of shaders which provide a RGBA mask to introduce up to 4 detail textures. That helps.

any idea where I can get a tutorial on the shaders used by AC? or maybe is there a manual for the editor (or SDK)

    thanks!

This forum has all the info you need, just look for the "Tutorial" tags

There are also a couple of youtube videos on how to navigate, and use kseditor.

But no manual or pipeline documentation, only for cars...
