REQUEST Turning Assetto Corsa into an arcade racing game

Not sure if anyone tried this before or if it’s even possible to mod this game’s base physics to make them "fun" and easy to pick up for people using controller and keyboard.

I’d like something similar to NFS The Run, NFS Carbon, Driver SF, Racedriver GRID, FH4 and so on. And on top of that, developing brand new gamemodes like overtake events, elimination...

IMO there is no need to modify physics for AC, majority of the mods for AC have "fun" physics anyways :D But answers to your questions are: yes, you can modify physics, probably by creating CSP alternative with your version of extended physics module, new game modes are possible with CSP LUA scripts. Good luck :D

I know what you mean by "they already have fun physics" but I’m talking about a handling model that can operate well on keyboard or controller kinda like you get in the games I mentioned earlier. Btw, what is CSP? Do they have a discord server or something?

Custom Shaders Patch, which is a main modification of the game to allow more to be done to it. Like LUA programming, etc.

There are gamepad scripts in CSP that improves playability with those.
