Where can I remap the button that makes the pit controller pop up in Assetto Corsa so that I get the d-pad from my wheel free to map other stuff?

My guess would be in the controller settings page?

Well, that was obviously the first place I checked, but it isn't there - hence my question.
I also checked the pitstop.ini file but it only has an option to remove the possibility of opening it while driving - which is not what I am looking for. :/
Do you have any other suggestion?

Your D-pad buttons must be assigned to something? like menu - left - right... etc, no?

I assigned them to increase and decrease energy deployment, but in-game the d-pad only opens the pit stop options. It seems that the pit controller overrides what I put in the controller settings page.

Then it must be assigned twice, only thing I think off. using CM? Maybe check the other assignment page?

I am and I did. I think that it may be coded this way because you need the arrows to navigate the controller, so I am not sure if you can change that.

I know I'm very late but I just had this issue, for anyone in the future search up in ur cm settings "pit" and turn on pit with mouse, allows u to use ur wheel dpad for other stuff
