How to create a minimap?

Hello everyone,
I am trying to generate my minimap of my track, but I cannot.
I created the AI, and it works because I was able to insert the camera tracks.
I deleted the PNGs in the UI folder, but AC doesn't generate the minimap for me.

I tried to make the minimap with the map display, it generated the minimap, but inserting the pngs in the UI folder of the Track, AC does not see it.

What am I doing wrong?

make sure it is indeed a png, not a jpg

The map used ingame is actually the "map.png", not the "outline.png" from ui folder...

Remove this "map.png", and AC should make a new one (which might get saved as jpg with png extension)
