Hi guys I tried using AI splines and it didn't really work at all. I tried so many fixes I'm going to list them all, please whoever knows, help me I'm running out of ideas. If anyone is experienced and is willing to explain AI Splines, and Blender -> Assetto Corsa track creation to me, via Discord or something, I will not hesitate to pay for the lecture (not much cuz I'm broke but something for sure).
I made a custom track in Blender named everything correctly, basically took a template, and just made a track from it. all was named correctly I slapped it into ksEditor, and all went well. I hopped into Assetto Corsa and drove a few laps around the track and it actually felt really good so I wanted to try to race against AI. I Googled a tutorial on how to make AI splines and I thought everything was fine but when I started recording that's when everything went to... yeah. The pit lane spline records and is saved but the fast lane never really does. I drive around two laps keep it within track limits and then I click save AI. When I click exit from Assetto Corsa it usually freezes the game and stays like that until I shut it down via Task Manager.
It only saved the pit lane so I thought something was wrong with the model itself so I remade the track in Race Track Builder. Hours later I finished the same track and I go to record AI which apparently this time goes well but it's just deception. It records both the pit lane and the fast lane, however, when I open the splines in the ksEditor they are flipped. the pit lane goes the normal way and the fast lane goes through the pit lane. I tried flipping them I tried not flipping them but whenever I launch a race all the ai just steer left towards the pit lane violently and that's it, they just crash and DNF. I tried editing both in ksEditor and it didn't really work.
Please help, whoever can help me. I tried installing the tool that can read lanes in blender but it just doesn't want to install because there's an error. Again if anyone's experience with this and is willing to have a call with me, and basically teach me, I'm willing to pay something. Alternatively, if you have a simple solution to this, I'd love that too
