Hi guys, I've been trying to build my own street circuit on Race Track Builder for a good week or so, I managed to get as far as tarmac laying and the addition of kerbs before any problems, however after I added barriers around the entirety of the track, along with DO NOT CROSS walls, this is when the problems occured. I feel that the problems that have risen with ksEditor are to do with the string objects, however even once they are removed, the problem persists. I have found that even my earlier versions of the track in .fbx form no longer run in ksEditor either. I have tried the 4GB patch to no prevail, so I am very lost. I have also looked around multiples forums from multiple sources/websites and have found no solution to my problem. Each time I attempt to open a .fbx file around my circuit, new or old version, I recieve an unhandled exception .NET error with the following text: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException (0x80004005): External component has thrown an exception. at Model.load(Model* , basic_string<wchar_t\,std::char_traits<wchar_t>\,std::allocator<wchar_t> >* , GraphicsManager* , IModelImporter* ) at ksNet.ksGraphics.loadFBX(String filename, UInt32& key) in i:\manu\documents\ac-source-pc\ksnet\ksnet.cpp:line 743 at ksEditor.Form1.loadFBXFile(String file, Boolean saveRecent) in i:\Manu\Documents\ac-source-pc\ksEditor\Form1.cs:line 840 at ksEditor.Form1.openFBXToolStripMenuItem_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) in i:\Manu\Documents\ac-source-pc\ksEditor\Form1.cs:line 826 at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.RaiseEvent(Object key, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripMenuItem.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleMouseUp(MouseEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEventInteractive(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEvent(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4515.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v4.0.30319/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- ksEditor Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0 CodeBase: file:///D:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/assettocorsa/sdk/editor/ksEditor.exe ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4536.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4550.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4390.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4190.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_B CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4590.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_B CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4084.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- ksNet Assembly Version: 1.0.5884.33843 Win32 Version: CodeBase: file:///D:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/assettocorsa/sdk/editor/ksNet.DLL ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.GeneratedCode Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4084.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- ksMathCore Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0 CodeBase: file:///D:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/assettocorsa/sdk/editor/ksMathCore.DLL ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. Is anyone able to help? I've spent a solid chunk of my free time on this and would hate to see it go to waste. Cheers!
heard from others that export from TB is not read by ksEditor, maybe try to import a copy into blender, then export as fbx from there https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/tutorial-use-race-track-builder-and-blender-together.207713/ if you had it working before with older versions, try to install stuff in c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist\
I’ve had this issue it’s ether you have too much vertices on A mesh or if it happens while you’re loading textures your texture files might be too large if it’s png trying converting to dds or compressing png if you wish to keep it png *note I’m no expert I’m just sharing my fixes that worked for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
