Yeah, there are a couple of ways to improve these blades! But the exercise was just to get the animations in place :)
I'll stop hijacking Dave's project
Amazing! Is it possible to add motion blur to the rotor blades? The StFlow solution for helicopter blades looks very realistic. Just like motion blur is needed on car rims in AC I think some kind of blur would make these helicopter blades look very realistic.
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Edit: I was thinking of putting a train in my track before, but at the time it wasn't possible, even with stFlow. This changes EVERYTHING!
Much easier than that! Don’t know if you have seen the animated objects video from Ilja, but it’s essentially using the code for the windmill, with altered values.
Them Ilja mentioned I could export the object as a car kn5, which would allow for the use of dummy objects in hierarchy. Then it...
That's so cool! How did you do the rotating wheel with the boxes staying upright?:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I can only think you must've made it a sprite and used stFlow???? Love it!
Wow, this looks amazing. Totally slipped under my radar too. Love all the little details.
Looking very much forward to driving it.
Keep up the great work!
Probably something to do with the fact you are not using a normal map in the normal map slots:
I'd use a flat normal map (something like 128 red, 128 green, 255 blue) in those slots to see what happens, though obviously to get the best effect you will want to make an actual normal map.

After trying to get the ksPerPixelReflection shader to work, I later found and installed the stFlow shader. Now my water is animated and looks amazing in ksEditor:
But the animated water is still purple in the game! It looks like some sort of...
...screenhots:
This update will include @Stereo 's excellent st flow shader, which animates the TV screens.
If you dont have it, and you have a moment, maybe install it when you get a chance.
I will however, include it in the download...
...in advance if I can't help you with this.
Perhaps I didn't explain the way the shader works properly. There are essentially 2 ways to use the stFlow shader. In both cases all that's really happening is that a texture is scrolling along a mesh, and that there's never any real 3D mesh...
hi again,
I tried but didn't worked.. I have no idea how to save all rendered images (100 in my case) into a single texture, is it by compositing or how can that be done?
...automatically created along with your other textures I think. Set your txDetailNM to NULL.dds.
3. Apply settings (look at mine as an example). stFlow is designed for scrolling textures, but can also be used to increment the whole texture by a specific amount e.g. 1/64th ever specific amount...
blender materials dont matter, you must set textures in ksEditor
see https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/stflow-shader.23999/ and the video he linked

thank you again.
it worked. I have unpacked the stflow archive in kseditor folder too. Now it is shown in kseditor.
And as you can that is the fountain created in blender.
image from blender. I haven't applied any texture to the objects other than...
...folder than the main AC folder, e.g. something like ....Steam\steamapps\common\Assetto Corsa Editor\ . If that's the case, try unpacking the stflow archive there too.
You should end up with a file called "stPerPixelNM_UVflow.shader" in Steam\steamapps\common\(install folder e.g. Assetto...
...set the origin, applied rotation and scale and then imported the fbx into kseditor. Unfortunately, I don't find either the loaded file or the stFlow shader ( Unpacked into AC root).
I couldn't upload the file (blender or fbx) here to test.
Can you probably help me to find where the mistake...
thank you once again for your time for such a detailed summary☺. Since I am a beginner I find it a bit complicated. But for sure I am going to follow the procedure mentioned by you and maybe I will come back again with many questions .
I have a very basic question:: install or unpack to AC...
