Hi guys, I'm back from the dead and will continue on updating Lake Louise. Current version is 2.08 so be sure to download and play that. This will serve as the official thread for the track and I'll try my best to answer questions and comments here. The current plan for Lake Louise 3.0 release is to: 1. Update all road textures 2. Update all road edge/gravel ditch textures 3. Update the rock wall textures 4. Update the mountain textures to something more photo realistic 5. Update and add AI lines to some of the layouts which don't have it 6. Add tree walls and get rid of some of the 3d trees from further away Notice that there will be no changes to the layout of the track. It's simple too time consuming, plus I honestly think the current layout is pretty frigging awesome. ETA: No idea, I work on it when I feel like I have the free time to do so. I would estimate that it'll be done some time in the future, and not any time soon. The latest road texture test image.
Working on the road edges and the road surfaces for the Crowsnest road now. Trying to give it better texturing and shading variations.
Now I'm trying to do something I've been avoiding for the last 2 years... which is to texture the mountains with photos. I'm still not entirely sure if it's 1. possible or 2. advisable, but in my mind since the beginning, Lake Louise track should have photo real textures. Not sure if I could do it or not. The landscape is loosely based on real life and doesn't map well using satellite images. There's gonna be a lot of head scratching and photoshopping. Any tips? Advice?
my tip would be, projection mapping. project those photos onto what you have. Ks use some projection mapping on the red bull ring for their far hill/mountains.
Love this track! Just to let you know, there is a bug in surface collisions off left side of the first corner after the pit exit on the LOOP FORWARD.
amazing track my friend, i have lots of fun driving the roads here with beautiful mountains and lakes in the backdrop. 10/10 its a pure pleasure to drive old school cars around here.
Hi Lucas. First i love the track layouts. Great work. I came back from some test drives with 2.08. Some streets i fall under the Street. In 2.07 i can drive all streets but the roadmap app didn't work correct. Did i make something wrong? I have Donate and use the Link for Donators http://download.racelakelouise.com I downloaded both versions via this Link. Greetings from Germany
Does it do that with a Kunos car? I find that some mod cars don't have proper collision boxes and stuff like that could happen.
I seem to be having a problem when loading this track on my server. I am getting a Checksum error and then kicked off the server and I am not sure why. Any help plz
Check that the files in the track folder on the server match the version you have on your PC. Tipically, when Checksum error appears, one of the two is older . This was done by Kunos in order to avoid cheating (for example increasing grip on you local track). Also true for cars. Sent from my phone using Tapatalk
Maybe it's the car. Or just check again. You most likely missed something. There is no other reason, afaik. Sent from my phone using Tapatalk
