you can use "Cross Section" like this (about 9:20):
import the track in a 3D Editor like Blender or Max
build your additional drs signs at the right track positions
export these signs as fbx
camera jib animation
First Grandstand placed.

Try to do: edit normals - reset normals.. Maybe this helps
