I think that is the pit exit. I know it got a new layer of asphalt in 2017 so it may not be the same.
This. I think I saw some photos posted some time ago on their FB page. Well, it seems to me that we need somebody to do a field trip and take some photos of the entire track .
I can call tomorow willi and ask him to tell the workers at the track to take some photos what exactly would you like to take photos pf ?
Everything ! Honestly, a walk along the track, and taking photos from hand held position (or lower angle) would be very useful to spot uneven surfaces. But I imagine that would be impossible in the given conditions, so at least: A few photos along the straight would be useful, so we can see if there are still big undulations after the resurfacing. Something like this: From start line, looking towards last turn. From start line, looking towards T1. A couple of photos straight in front of the pits, something like this (no need to catch all pits in the same photo - on the contrary - 1 photo per/box would be great). What you see below is recovered from a very angled photo so things are deformed . In the marked ares below there are some sewers; I need to estimate how low they are compared to the asphalt surface so any photo where I can see both the asphalt and the sewer is good. Other than this.. anything. No amount of photos is "too much". If the guys are kind enough, I take as many photos are they are willing to give us . Thank you in advance.
if you get someone to stand at the bump when you photograph it like that. you could map out the undulations. but these undulations you wouldn't even feel in the sim. better of just building it into the track and not worrying about it. heres a good video on the "old" methods of doing tracks from photo reference.
Good news guys! Talked with the people at the track and they will make some photos for us. What i've understood from them there are only 2 ondulations zones .Before the first turn and after the last turn. I've also asked them for some photos of the kerbs because we will need them in the near future. What i've understood there are 2 new kerbs that are beeing worked on at the moment. The only bad thing is that we will recieve the photos tomorow.
That's not at all bad news, on the contrary, it's all good news . 3d modelling doesn't go too fast during the week days anyway. Looking forward ! Sent from my phone using Tapatalk

I couldn't wait until reaching home this evening, so had a sneak peek already: fantastic photos, very useful. Thank you very much Dragos. - on Tapatalk
Very good progress on the track, I see, and lots more to come. I'm already getting excited for 2018, maybe I'll see some of you guys over there! Now I just need to practice the track in AC. And when I think it started as a semi-joke between me and @luchian because he wanted me to "train"... oh how small the world is, and how fast people with the same passion find their way together.
We can see very well here that it misses the micro-bumps, especially on the straight. Can't wait to start on that, but will not touch it until we nail the general layout. I will study a little bit more that last turn on the new loop. Will make a comparison with "google" version also.
