Something big is coming to track creation for Assetto Corsa. With the newest CSP builds it is possible to change textures dymanical by scripting. So it is possible to do do working pit boards and so many other things giving some more life to the mostly static track scenery. I'm already playing around:
Driver names and flags are also dynamical created. You can also animate them of you like. To you can draw lines, rectangles, circles…
I'm making progress: Upper one displays the best lap time. Lower one should display the speed trap km/h but at the moment it's a bit cheated so it displays the max achieved speed overall.
LUA seems to be very powerful, but only for chosen people I saw simple LUA script for simple dashboard and it had 500 lines of code
The lengths of code depends on how good your programming skills are. I must say my skills are very basic and my code for this display was very long but thankfully my brother (knowing C#) could help me a lot. You can have a look at the skrips when I’ll release the track updates. But I wait until Ilja releases the non patreon CSP version. But if you like can post some scripts here later today.
thx mate for the offer but for now I don't need it, I am still far away from messing with that stuff in my track project but I know what is it about, I will have LUA dashboard directly from Ilja in our new car mod which should come out as a Christmas surprise So I realy hope he will release public version soon because without that the car dashboard won't work properly But what I will need in the future for my track project will be a race time counter which hangs above the starting line When I will model it I will probably contact you
