    Hi,

I've just started to use Race Track Builder. I know there are dozens of tutorials out there but I'm currently
struggling with a very particular problem and I haven't found any good solution.

So I was using my Iphones GPS to record a track where I live. I used the Goole API data to get elevation maps and implemented my KMZ files into that. And to my surprise it snapped perfectly into place. So adjusting some of the tarmac and I was good to give it a testride in Assetto Corsa.

But then I saw something and that happens even if I make street from scratch. Every road that you draw or import into RTB has a weird profile. The center of the road is always slightly higher than the outsides. Hence you won't end up with a smooth surface but there are constant bumps. Now I can adjust the profile of course by manuall dragging those markers down but here is the problem. My track is 14 km long. So there are 14 different segments automatically generated both with a beginning and an ending and they all have to fall into place. So manually adjusting that would be really hard. Especially as sometimes the road is slightly curved and thus adding values doesn't make sense. I'd need a way to either level the track from left to right but not in its overall height or I need a way to have adjustments that I make to one side of the track added to the whole rest.

In Bob's track builder you could add an overall profile for example, say you wanted to have a hill to the left side on the lane you just pulled that side up and it worked for the whole track. Doing that here just doesn't work.
    Are there any solutions?

    Greetings

Suggest you reach out to Brendon Pywell over steam or his facebook page. The majority of modders and content creators here use 3DS Max or Blender mostly.

In theory you can define your own track profiles in XPacker, but I've never tried it personally. I've always just adjusted the start and end profiles of each segment manually, and cut out any excess points as needed. And this for a track over 30km. If you include the city xpack you should have flatter road profiles available there too if you don't feel like making your own
