    Hi guys,

i'm from Germany and new to the ACM-Forum.

At the moment I am trying to create my first own track for Assetto Corsa. For this I use Blender 2.83.

As a silent reader here in the forum I also managed to create a model that can be driven on. It is a real country road here in the area in the southwest of Germany.

But this road leads through a forest. And now the problem:
I have .png files of trees that I can add to my model with the option "Add as planes", but in KSeditor as well as in the game the empty elements are not empty. I really don't know what to do anymore... In Blender the corresponding places are transparent.

What worked well so far was the Sapling Generator... But I can't create a whole forest with the generator, because I already got a message from KSeditor that a single tree has more than 95000 vertices.

If there is a detailed manual for Blender 2.83 available here I would be very grateful (Y-/X-Trees).

If necessary and someone can explain how and where I can do that, I will gladly provide the current model.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Hello,

thanks for the tip! I tried it and with a little bit of trial and error it actually worked.

Rule #1: use only *.dds textures.;)
Rule #2: if your tree is 95000 vertices, don’t use it :ROFLMAO:

    true ... :D

i guess there were some other setting problems especially with the shaders

i am relatively new in this field and have never done anything like this before

so i wanted to test first which possibilities there are to model trees.

my cardboard trees are still not perfect, but i think it is heading in the right direction.

thanks again for the .dds tip :)
