That's great! Look forward to seeing what you come up with. I think sound is sometimes underrated when it comes to creating atmosphere.

That's so cool! How did you do the rotating wheel with the boxes staying upright?:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I can only think you must've made it a sprite and used stFlow???? Love it!

Much easier than that! Don’t know if you have seen the animated objects video from Ilja, but it’s essentially using the code for the windmill, with altered values.

Them Ilja mentioned I could export the object as a car kn5, which would allow for the use of dummy objects in hierarchy. Then it dawned on me to create a parent dummy for the main wheel, have it rotate one way... create child dummies for all the cabs, and have them rotate at the same speed, but the opposite direction. That way they stay vertical while following the main rotation :)

I’ll do a write up on this soon

That is amazing! Great implementation. I'm very impressed!

Sadly no I've not seen that video  Exciting stuff! Sounds like it opens up lots of new possibilities though. I've been away from AC modding for about 2 months and all this amazing new stuff is possible. Incredible work! I wonder if this would help @Nericksenna too with your rotating bus sign he was working on?

Edit: I was thinking of putting a train in my track before, but at the time it wasn't possible, even with stFlow. This changes EVERYTHING!

One last test for the day, and the blades aren’t stflow, they rotate on their own :)

Amazing! Is it possible to add motion blur to the rotor blades? The StFlow solution for helicopter blades looks very realistic. Just like motion blur is needed on car rims in AC I think some kind of blur would make these helicopter blades look very realistic.

Yeah, there are a couple of ways to improve these blades! But the exercise was just to get the animations in place :)

I'll stop hijacking Dave's project

Hijack away! It's very interesting and useful knowledge for me too! Actually, does anyone know if there's a working example of these new track features that I could test and study the ini? No problem if not.

    Yeah thanks, found it! :)

Amazing things are going on now with this new animations. Rotating wind wheel or driving fire trucks, ambulances ... I´ve to sort out my thoughts now a little bit. Thanks a lot Dave and John. :D
