    Hello,
First of all, I am no real modder of Assetto corsa, I am working on some projects on absolutely different platforms. A friend of mine asked me, if I could create for him a car for Assetto. So, even tough I have no experiences or so I took it like a challenge.

I was following the tutorial posted by lucian here, but when I exported a model from blender to FBX and tried to import FBX to KS editor I got a message "External component has thrown an exception" , I found on the internet that the problem may be with the size of memory, so I used the patch to increase, but it didn´t help. Same issue appeared even when I tried to import only model without wheels.

I have no idea, what I can do now, is there anybody who can help me?

    Model:
    T5 Ambulance
    135 K vertes (4x23K for wheels)
    232 K faces (4x43K for wheels)
    Only testing, temporary texture.
In the attachment is Blender model, texture, and FBX file

    ClickHere!

Thank you very much for any help

yeah its too big for a single mesh object. You also have scale on everything, meaning your wheels are like 20 kilometres tall :D

got it loading by simply "cutting it in half" in edit mode and applying Scale (its still way too big tho). You may also change the material setting from Node based to ..whatever the other old variant is called, could cause issues otherwise (I made my first car in Cycles Render mode with nodes, took me forever to find why it wouldn't load

Thank you very much, so are you saying, that, the model is usable, I will try to reduce an amount of polygons, somehow :D , scale it all and add texture, but I am really lost in Assetto, the friend that asked me for this is working at emergency services training centre, where they use Assetto as software for driving simulator. I have never done anything like this before and I will never ever do this again.
I know, I am just another noob asking not very clever questions, but is it possible that I find somebody on this forum who will help me with the whole process of putting car to Assetto? All I wish is car with four wheels, some lights and steering wheel.

By the way, which maps you consider important in Assetto? Like is it possible to have multiple nodes material, especially gloss map would be nice.

I keep my track(s) in Cycles Render because I like the lightning better; never had any issues loading them. Maybe it's only for cars ?

If you follow the basic guide, you should be able to get the car ingame (provided that all the texture/material issues are sorted). Unless somebody offers to do it for you, I don't think there is a quicker way to get your car ingame.
