A nice little tool that does exaclty what the tile says. You can view thumbnails for dds files direcly in Explorer, which makes it very convenient when working with textures. For skins, tracks or cars. You can find the nvidia tool there: http://www.nvidia.com/object/dds_thumbnail_viewer.html And if you want (much) more features, you can go for this one: http://mysticcoder.net/mysticthumbs.html#download EDIT: eventhough the mysticthumbs does support a lot of formats, I find it a bit too agresive/intrussive. For my taste..
I could never make works NVidia DDS viewer on WIN7 64 so I installed https://sourceforge.net/projects/sagethumbs/?source=typ_redirect Works fine .... allow transparency...normal maps...etc.
Sorry for the necrobump but I installed the Nvidia thumbnail viewer, restarted my PC and still DDS files don't have thumbnails. What am I missing here? The process should be automatic, yes? I don't want to install sagethumbs as I've read it can cause issues with Win 10. Thanks.
I was about to install it and then read this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/3wl7o9/do_not_install_sagethumb_on_windows_10_it/
