    Good day all.

If you have a balance of performance added to your car like this: 0Kg/20%

    1. What does the 20% mean?
    2. Does this make you slower than having 20Kg added, ie: 20Kg/0%

    Thanks in advance,
    Bjoern

    Hi Bjoern,

I didn't had the time to play with the thing yet. But, from experience with other sims, this means very likely a 20% admission intake restriction (so less air to the engine --> less performance). But the impact will vary, depending on the car used.

It's different from added weight. In your example, +20kg means exactly that: additional 20kg (a fatter driver :D) and nothing more. It may happen that on specific cars this will translate in more or less the same "penalty" in lap-time, but this would more a matter of concidence, and not an "as designed" feature.

Hopefully I should test it "soon"

Thanks for the reply. I ran some tests at Monza in the Porsche 911 GT3 R and found that with the 20% restriction I was running 0.6 sec slower than with 20 Kg weight.
