DLC The Way Back Machine - AC v1.9 & Porsche Pack 1
Motto:
One day, we'll post news when they actually happen, I tell you .
Anyhooooo.. 1.9 update also marked the start of a very special period in AC development. The first officially licensed Porsches, Pack 1. After an exclusive deal that Porsche had with Electronic Arts (..and which lasted around 16 years ! around the release of the NFS Porsche game), the world of simracing is free again. And what better place to feel this than our favorite sim, Assetto Corsa.
Here is what Kunos had to say about it:
Respecting what is now a very long tradition at... -
DLC The Way Back Machine - AC v.1.10 & Porsche Pack 2
Motto:
“How did it get so late so soon?” ― Dr. Seuss
End of November brought the 2nd Porsche Pack DLC on the PC version of Assetto Corsa. For those that purchased the Season Pass, the pack was automatically included in one's library. And same it shall be for the third pack, when it will launch a little bit later this December. The 20th, as far as we know.
Before speaking about the list of cars, it is also worth mentioning that together with the DLC, we have seen the 1.10 update. With each update, broken stuff gets fixed or new stuff gets added, continuously improving the... -
NEWS Back To Origins !
We'll get once more to have those sneak peaks in the development of our favorite sim, with the last announcement made by Kunos team. For every 1k Likes, a new set of images will find their way onto the Assetto Corsa Facebook page. So do share away !
"Dear AC followers,
With Assetto Corsa’s debut on Steam Early Access, we almost stopped sharing some of our WIP images from production (except for those which were close to released, oh, and of course the awesome pics created by our AC fans).
Now, with 30,000 genuine followers on Facebook, we have decided to reward you... -
NEWS A Partnership That We'll Feel
We usually hear about all kinds of partnerships between different companies along a project. And usually they will be financially oriented. This time however, we'll hopefully get to "feel" the benefits of the latest collaboration announced. That's because, aside from the material RSR Nurburg will be probably providing, they also have a great deal of experience with the said cars and the feedback they can give about the behavior in real life could really push Assetto Corsa towards that last drop of authenticity. Time will tell.
"Dear AC followers,

STREAM A cat has 9 lives, so here's Season II
Stefano restarted his live streams, with a slightly different format - 2 different kind of episodes: Sundays, talk about features, information packed; Wednesday, 1 hr of coding oriented stream, like it used to be in the first season.
Stefano:
"It's nice to be back. It's the best period for me [just after the release of a major patch], because I'm allowed to break stuff and test. Feel excited and happy now, then close to the release it gets stressing"
So, what will the update 1.3 bring ?
64bit build ! - problem was linking the... -
NEWS End of the year hype ?
As every year, Kunos might be preparing some surprise announcement for December 31st. Last year 2015, we had Maserati & co. In 2014, we found out Lambos are joining the fun. As of now, we can consider those might be hard to beat. But is it ? All we have seen, is some mysterious screenshot from a british-nederlandish-city-like-track-ish.. Is there more in the cat's bag ? Or is Assetto Corsa going... -

Look What The Cat Hacked In - S2E04 - Let's race
Is it Sunday yet? If so, it's Look What The Cat Hacked In time! This time 'round, Stefano shows us the new Barcelona by racing against the AI (and it looks very good indeed!) and talks about the updated tyre model, latest AI improvements and the upcoming 1.3 version of the game.
Wednesday's stream depends on how work will go. If Stefano finds something that he could hack/build in one hour or so, the stream will happen. Next Sunday Stefano will have a look at programming languages in general and how you can get into... -
AC Update Assetto Corsa Release 0.22 On Steam Early Access
As promised, Kunos "delivered" on 29th. A new verion which comes with a new car, a new track and some very consistent improvement and optimizations. Still a lot of things going behind the scenes, but as with every release, we are getting closer and closer to 1.0 version. Current milestone is set to a "candidate beta version" within some weeks. As we all know, terms like some, soon, couple of weeks, must be taken with a bit of salt when it comes to simracing or game developement in general . And yes of course, we all hope to be proven wrong when... -
Organisation and Decisions
The current planned date for the first race is beginning of October, hopefully all the important decisions will be clarified until then. Some of the main topics, are or will be opened for discussion shortly. But if anything you are interested in is not covered, feel free to ask, or even create a specific thread (in case you need feedback from other racers). -
DLC Bonus Pack 3
Time for some reheated news. But hey, at least is still this year. I would even go that far as saying it's still this month . Anyhoo.. just wanted to put into the timeline collection what probably was the last DLC for Assetto Corsa in its present form. Even though when it was announced, Laguna Seca should've come as a paid addition, activity at Kunos Simulazioni is in continuous transformation. Always listening to community, and probably to lay out a good base for the future development, decision was taken to... -
[CONCEPT] Club Racing
As the server is on 24/7, why not put it to good use ?
CONCEPT:
Club type races, not a part of the official season's calendar (if one in progress). Every week, 2 races will be held, with the same combo, this way everybody can have a shot of making it to the race.
Registrations:
Club races mean no specific registration is required. You can however let others know you plan to participate - more drivers attract even more drivers .
UPDATE: You can reserve a car for a specific event. Your spot will be guaranteed and... -
NEWS What is going on behind the scenes ?
A parallel world is getting ready to be launched at Kunos ? It would seem like almost every aspect of the game has been touched in the intention of pushing the sim a 'bit more towards its limits. Bring it ON, I say !

NEWS Assetto Corsa Press(ing) Day !
Yesterday (or Sep 29th, depending on your time zone) Kunos organized a press event, to give their "precious" a proper launch. It was organized directly within Autodromo di Vallelunga (where their HQ also is) and since they were at a racetrack.. there had to be cars. And not just "any": almost the entire lineup of cars present in the game was brought at Vallelunga "in flesh". Or so it seems from the pictures that we've been able to spot on the net .
Will leave you with an approximate translation of the coverage provided by... -
NEWS Everything has been said !
..and more ! A big announcement today on AC's fb page, with cool information about what the near (and not so near) future will bring to Assetto Corsa. A special mention goes to AC member the_meco, proving once more that outstanding work does not go unnoticed and "unpunished" .
"Dear Assetto Corsa fans
We know that in the last few weeks we have been very silent, but there was a valid reason; all our resources and everybody in the dev team have been working real hard in order to finish Assetto Corsa and to prepare a preview Release Candidate... -
AC Update Assetto Corsa 1.12
Howdy folks,
Time for some reheated news . Assetto Corsa 1.12 was released already 10 days ago, and among the consistent list of fixes and features, we also got some free content: The AUDI QUATTRO S1 E2 and the HIGHLANDS fictional track. Both are very welcomed in our simracing arsenal, of course.
In my book, there is however another big "feature" I was waiting for quite some time: V10 tyre model for all cars. Yay !
NOTE: read in the next post about a possible problem (CPU occupancy) some systems might get... -
NEWS Improved VR Support (soon)
Even though Oculus might have some problems in this period, it is not far fetched to say that VR is here to stay. Maybe the hardware is not exactly where we would love to see it, but the VR experience, as of today, is a very believable one. Enough to make people getting the gear. And enough to make developers give it the attention. Assetto Corsa is no exception, and after the decent implementation of the VR #driving experience, it looks like Kunos is looking even further, thanks to the superior positioning system Vive has to offer. In his characteristic style, Marcos posted a... -
AC Update Assetto Corsa RC v1.0.0 is out !
Whoo hoo ! The awaited 1.0 version is out, after a few weeks of total silence (and probably hard hard work)! 1 year and 8 months down the line from the Tech Preview this is the first feature complete released version of Assetto Corsa. Of course there will be some bugs and issues here and there to be iron out - hence the RC title - but I'm sure it's gonna be a treat !
I'd write more, but I'm eager to go on track, and you're probably too busy racing anyways , so I'll leave you with the full list of added features and the release trailer. See you... -
AC Update AC 1.3.x update(s) + Audi R8 bonus
For the record (as we aim keeping track of all AC's updates) we'll just post this here .
The 1.3 update brought a lot of improvements, most of them pre-announced in the live sessions Stefano used to make. One of my favorites must be the 64bit build, pushing away all those memory limitation situations. You can choose your favorite ones, from the complete changelogs bellow. More so since there were no less than 7 micro-updates since the 1.3 original launch, bringing us a bonus Audi R8 V10 car in the process.
