TUTORIAL Getting Danish landscape information Tutorial Part 1
Does not work anymore!
The download site has been removed and been replaced with something, that I have yet to understand how to use.
It is still possible to go to the http://miljoegis.mim.dk/cbkort site and view Ortho photos across the ages.
I have used this with Greenshoot to get earlier Ortho photos piece by piece.
Happy Racing
There are multiple types of data, helpful to the trackbuilder available from the Danish government.
Such as DHM (The Danish Height model) and Orthophotos (airplane photos). DHM consists of LIDAR, that is LAS pointclouds compressed into... -
NEWS Marco's Interview on ILVIDEOGIOCO
Being an Italian studio, Italians do have some advantage over the rest of the world following Assetto Corsa. One example is this interview in Italian, by Eduardo Ullo for ILVIDEOGIOCO. However, this is 2017 and thanks to online tools like Google Translate, we can get a pretty good idea about what has been discussed, even if some translations artifacts might be in there. The ones I could spot, were corrected. The ones that you spot, please let us know in comments below .

ACC Early Access - Release 5
It's update day. Steam servers will be hard at work once more, because Kunos released version 0.5 of their Assetto Corsa Competizione title. As usual, we have new content: the New Emil Frey Jaguar G3 and the Zolder circuit, in its laserscanned beauty. Aside from this, I would say that the most notable feature are the new ECU maps for all cars.
Zolder Circuit
In their own words, Zolder Circuit is 4 kilometres of asphalt, 10 curves of which 3 chicanes, a daring Sacramentsheuvel and 2... -
Simucube Quick Release system for DD wheels
Almost "out of the blue" a video appeared today:
Over at Granite Devices, the guys behind the Simucube OSW, exciting stuff is going on. After announcing a wireless button adapter a while back, today we find out about a new Quick Release system for Direct Drive wheels. Any owner knows that a good QR is not something to ignore, because any play into the mechanism will add unwanted noise in the FFB. Now, there are of course good QR out there but there's only one problem: the price ! They cost basically almost as much as an entry... -
ACC - Update 1.8
It's been a while since the last major update of ACC. However, the developers continued to improve in the background. With a DLSS demo video surfacing a few days ago, we now have the official release date confirmed: 24th of November (it had to be a Wednesday, of course).
Here is the official post:
We have a big week coming up in the land of Assetto Corsa Competizione on PC and we’re here today to tell you more! Get those race boots and race gloves ready, we’re going racing again!
UPDATE V 1.8 COMING NOVEMBER 24TH

DLC Backlog reloaded: Japanese and Red Pack DLCs
2 of them, to be precise. We refer of course, to the same period of time: end of April to present day. It started with probably the most requested DLC in Assetto Corsa: The Japanese Pack. 7 Japanese car icons, with very different personalities, in both classic and modern flavor.
The Japanese Pack was released on May 18th, and for 4.99EUR one got:
Mazda MX-5 2016 and MX-5 CUP
The Mazda MX-5 Miata is famous to be a highly capable racing platform; it is known as the best-selling roadster in the world, and some even claim that this model is the most road-raced car world-wide.... -
RELEASED-wip [WIP] Hope Racetrack v0.5
Read the RELEASE NOTES
for up-to-date details .
******original posts******
Anyone knew Hope Racetrack in rFactor 1 ? One of the best looking tracks on that engine, if you ask me; made by the hands of @lemax (Miseluk, anyone ?), who was kind enough to allow us the conversion towards Assetto Corsa. Currently, work is in progress, hope(ing) to get a drivable version by the end of this week. Well, actually the track is... -

TUTORIAL Assetto Corsa Official Editor - Tutorial Video #1
Exciting news !
Kunos team, represented in this case by the KS lead 3d artist Simone Trevisiol, just released a first video presenting the basic functionality of their inhouse editor/exporter, the tool that will allow you/me/us modders to export own 3d creations. It seems that in the beginning, only track exporting options will be available, although for cars the same editor will be used a little bit later down the road. The main reason (and it makes sense) is that Kunos team wishes to also release a proper documentation when enabling car export, as cars require more that some 3d... -
NEWS Assetto Corsa Vows Renewal & a New Trailer
With the release date closing in, the team over at Kunos, released another cool trailer to showcase the console version of Assetto Corsa. We say console version, but other than the fact of running on consoles, there is nothing less about it, compared to the PC version. However, we all know (and interact) on the Internet, so you might be aware of 2 general concerns:
1/ that the game's strong point - the physics simulation - will be toned down in the console version
2/ once that is done, the PC version will follow also, in order... -
ACC Early Access - Release 6.. not yet.
The last milestone on the roadmap presented and unofficially committed to last year, was Release 6. It was scheduled to be released on February 13th. However, and even if Kunos managed to keep the previous 5, it seems that 13th meant bad luck (even though in Italy that would be.. 17th ?) and they could not make it. Initially announced as a 1-week delay, with this announcement:
"Dear ACC forum community,
we apologize for the delay that this news had about the forum post, but all the team is... -
DLC Tripl3 Pack
Together with the release of the console version in Europe (August 26th), there is also a new DLC coming our way: the tripl3 pack. As far as we know, it will cost 2.99 EUR, and will feature 3 cars. However, not just any cars but:
Ferrari FXX K
The FXX K is the R&D program of Ferrari starring the first hybrid prototype of Maranello. The initials K refers to the "Kers" technology (kinetic energy recovery) for maximizing performance on the track. Free from homologations and regulations, the FXX K has been developed with no compromise... -
AC Update Assetto Corsa 1.8 preview
This one comes with special flavor. It's a big milestone in AC's life, and in Kunos' history, since this release coincides with the release of the console version. We don't have the changelog yet, but we do know about some bonus content that will be included:
The Audi S1, which should be quite fun for friendly online races
And the historic Monza's 1960 10 km Sopraelevata circuit (available for the consoles as well), which has been developed using laserscan technology to guarantee the highest level of accuracy for Assetto Corsa. This has been... -
NEWS Oculus Rift, what's in the bag ?
Every journey starts with a single step.
For Oculus it was somewhere here (ok, ok, first you need to put your shoes on, or flip-flops if you wish, but we’ll leave that stuff out). My favorite part must be this one:
[..]2) Logo/s. I am listing the organization as "Oculus", I plan on using that name on my VR projects from here on out. The HMD itself is tentatively titled "Rift", if you have better ideas, let me... -
NEWS Assetto Corsa (big) News
This has just been posted by Kunos, on their blog. Those that follow closely the development had an idea about it, but nobody new exactly what was going on. An awesome surprise nevertheless, and this will definitely give a new push to the sim. Here's the complete article:
Dear followers,
the new update of Assetto Corsa is available on Steam Early access: take advantage of the Steam sales and get the game in early access at 30% less of the full price. By the way, we wish to thank you for the great support you are giving... -
BLOG Kunos is human !
Within a time frame of 4 days the Kunos team teased us with quite a few awesome status updates/news. It all started on Friday when against a not so friendly weather, they gave us a glimpse of the preparation fever before "the" journey ! Some driving hours later, they are safe and sound arrived at location but actual work would start the next day. And why not start a good day of work with a "spoiler".. say like.. a Toyota GT86 ! Now let's add track data, car data, videos/photos, the meeting with the RUF team.. things sound and look really productive for them, and really awesome for... -
NEWS Assetto Corsa release 0.21 on Steam Early Access
On Friday, 18th, Kunos released a new update (and a few minor ones in the following hours) after skipping the update on July 4th according to the usual 2-weeks schedule. However, it was well worth the wait because this update come with some major features, a new awesome car - the legendary Classic Team Lotus Type 98T, and most importantly prepares the platform for some consistent improvements in the future, towards the 1.0 release. One more noticeable fact would also be that Kunos team is growing, and this can only mean one thing for us: more goodies... -
STREAM Live Coding Session with Kunos Stefano
About a week back, Stefano decided to do these live coding sessions where he fixes/implements different stuff in our favorite sim, while also having a conversation with the people watching. Today's episode (3rd one in the series) was a 'bit special, as it included a rather long Q&A session. And a Blackout .
Here are a few notes on the stuff I found interesting. It's not exactly quoting word-for-word, but no modification to the message itself was made .
Q: Do you have any plans for Assetto Corsa 2 ?
A: No plans. We as a company, work on short... -
NEWS The teasing for the Dreampack#2 begins
Because it might be in his job description, Marco Massarutto is actually doing some fine work in teasing us. Now it's dreampack#2's turn.
Started with a nice shot of the SCG 003Cs training on the Nords..
.. followed by a little riddle with this interior shot (most probably from the RUF rgt)..
..aand a surprise non-official shot with these
There's not much announced about the content, but from the little that we know, dreampack#2 will contain:
- The laser-scanned Circuit de Catalunya...
