well ive been trying for an hour in rtb, and nothing is produced on this area. sometimes this happens when there isn't the really detailed mapping like in Europe. so I think that image you have there is the best you will get. and mostly obtaining 8192 images is actually just stretching the pixels, which would be the case in this situation.

edit, the closer detail texture simply doesn't exist for this area.

yep its more about the mask and the detail. you do have to severely edit the google images if you want to use them in game. remove all the black spots and sharp nonsense, and leave yourself what is in effect a water colour type painting. only leaving colour variations.

@Pixelchaser - I had'nt worked in RTB for several weeks. I was encouraged by your post last week and gave it another shot and playing with it the last few days.
I was frustrated with the way track laid and depressed the terrain. I finally went to the cross section of each track piece and changed the shape of the first section set to 100%. I then copied that and pasted it into the adjoining piece/section. Did the same around the track. I also unchecked cut terrain. This seemed to work. I still have issues joining tracks. This was on flat track.

    How do you handle this?
    Thanks! xsection1.png
I still get an uneven terrain. See sides

EDIT: I think I found the problem; Terrain Snap keeps changing and I have to set back to 0.00
    Also this a lot.

well the 100% thing where it goes to 100% matching terrain. the box up top that tied the node to the ground, remove it, always use 0. when you do this you have full control over what the tracks are doing. and there you can manage to join them , this is what I ment when you need to turn off all this rtb processing to actually get something you want.

Thanks @Pixelchaser . That helps. I finally figured it out. The Mexico track is flat except for the two corners with man-made elevations, which is simple to do camber.

I have been playing around with other stuff, not to seriously make a track. Example Kyalami. If I download the Google terrain it does not work. If I wanted to make a track like Kyalami from a flat track, I think elevations would be tough unless I used track to make them first, if you know what I mean.

btw once you have your track you should de couple the grounding of the nodes. its done on a node to node basis so select `em all and uncheck grounding box. so the track never moves even if your changing surrounding scenery,

Ahh. OK. Thanks! I was trying to un-check one node at a time and the check kept coming back.

I'm know trying to figure out how to scale building objects in RTB. The bottom level of the building should be 3-4 meters and when I drove the track, I'm guessing it was about 10m.

I think for that you select the object and hold down "S" I think, and drag up or down... Could be wrong, but it was the documention! :)

Hi Johnr777. I can edit it on axis, but not sure what relative height is. I get it close by eye, then have to export, drive, then go back to RTB to adjust. I need like a non-scalable person to put in there, or a ruler.

If I load a single object in xpacker as a string object; is that all I need to do to make it "string"?

yes, and any object can be used as a string. I only use string when it has a start a middle and an end, but selecting any string object in rtb in the window on the right you have the option to replace object, so yeah just select the new object you want to string along.

so if its not a string object don't bother loading it as a string object, just object is fine,

ohh and if you ever want a measurement tool then use a string object. ;) or a piece of road actually works good too.

Hi, I wanted to ask if RTB is capable of creating custom pit boxes, such as the cars start off in parking bays or something like that

Aha, pretty high to use them around the track in numbers. Maybe a good experiment for Game Asset Generator
