Hi, I'm 43, from spain, and console gamer until 2 weeks ago !!!!! I started with a Spectrum, then I switched to PC, I liked modding, but 15 years ago I stopped. I was too old, I didn't want to waste time, only play, so i switched to PS2, then Xbox 360, then PS4 ... I was happy playing in the PS4, then I bought PSVR, and after playing Dirt Rally in VR I couldn't play assetto on TV anymore. Since PCars2 & F1 2017 didn't seem to support PSVR, i needed some sim or simcade on VR ... so I bought Oculus & a beefy PC. At the same time, I started kart racing, so I though Assetto could be a good training. I discovered RTB, and loved modding again, I made my local circuits for training. Then I compared the Kart behavior IRL vs Assetto, so I decided I needed to tweak it, and make it more realistic. And here I'm, diving in the Kunos Tyre model, to try to make the karts more realistic, and addicted to make more kart tracks !!!
Great to see the enthusiasm, but I would recommend spending some more time on one or two tracks rather than starting many more. They are great fun little layouts but could use a lot more work
Hey @cercata , welcome and thanks for the intro . I was wondering how you've picked up modding in 2 weeks coming directly from consoles. But I see you are building on a foundation. So.. forgive me, but I NEED to ask: consoles or PC ?
Bike or Car ? They are diffent things for me, and it depends what you want at that moment. Now I prefer PC, but one month ago I prefered Console. I still had a gamming laptop, and played on PC when I was abroad sometimes, or games that were not avaialable on the PS4, but I preferred the simplicity of the console.
